I’m having a hard time believing that winter is here already. The seasons fly by so quickly and this image represents that speed. This is Pinnacle Lake in Upstate SC as it would be seen from a moving car. The early morning light caught the really bright colors of the leaves and the blue sky.

This is the Glade Creek Gristmill at Babcock State Park in West Virginia. The colors were absolutely stunning on this autumn afternoon and the sun just lit up the golden leaves in the foreground. A magical place, this is an image I’ve wanted to make for years.

Results are in on two recent competitions, the Photographic Society of America International Exhibition and Chasing the Light Juried Photography Competition. I’m pleased to announce that the image below, Here’s Looking At You Kid, received an Honorable Mention Award in both competitions. Another image, Aria, was awarded with an Honorable Mention at the PSA Exhibition as well. Seven other images were accepted into that exhibition, for a total of nine across three categories.
